Add search in video as an option to the desktop app

Searching in video and audio files has always required speciflized software. So how do you find the right place in that recording of the lecture? With this update!
Search in video/audio will use STT (speech-to-text) models to caption videos and make the spoken text searchable. The data will be uploaded to a secure Curiosity cloud while the captioning models run.

How does this work? I don't see it right now in my search. I filtered my results to file type video and search a keyword I know is mentioned many times in a video. The results are only keywords in filenames. Nothing shows up of keyword being mentioned in video?

You're absolutely right, Alvin. We removed this functionality again because it requires cloud processing - and we don't want to use that for the desktop app.
Fixing the status here - sorry for causing unnecessary tests here.
